1,500 DWP Customers Lost Power in Eagle Rock

Utility crews are working to restore power to the last of about 200 customers in rainy weather.

A little more than 1,500 customers of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power lost their electricity supply around noon Sunday during rainy weather, but power to all but about 200 of them was restored by 5:15 p.m., a DWP spokesperson said.

DWP crews are working to restore power to the remaining 200 or so customers, the utility’s public affairs official told Patch, adding that she did not know how long that would take.

Generally, it can take up to 10 hours for power outages to be fixed during rain weather, the spokesperson said.
