Bike Lanes: Community Voices That Oppose the Plan on Colorado

Why a minority of speakers at Wednesday's public forum are against L.A.'s Bicycle Master Plan.

Wednesday night's community forum at Occidental College prompted the overwhelming majority of speakers, estimated at more than 40, to support the Department of Transportation's proposal to create bike lanes on Colorado Boulevard as part of the 2010 City of Los Angeles Bicycle Master Plan. About a third of the speakers opposed the project, however, offering arguments such as the ones that can be viewed in the short video clips attached here.
