Spanish Tutor, Por Favor?

A parent fears that her child's Spanish-language skills are getting rusty because the school curriculum isn't challenging enough.

One Eagle Rock parent is searching for Spanish language tutorials for her 15-year-old. Her child, she says, does not feel sufficiently challenged by the Spanish taught in the child’s school—and the gap between the curriculum and the child’s knowledge of Spanish is making it “difficult to maintain and use the language skills already learned.”

Anyone out there know of a great Spanish tutor who can help take this student forward?

In general, which parents out there believe learning a second language is vital—not just a luxury? If so, how are you supporting your child’s language skills development? What are some local or nearby sources for second-language exposure and education?
