5 Things for a Delightful Thursday: Feb. 3

Spanish storytime, soccer, human rights, chow down, samba.

1. Join the for Spanish storytime on its new day: Storytime has moved to Thursday at 3 p.m. Jeanette Amador leads an hour of Spanish storytelling as well as games and crafts. 5060 Eagle Rock Blvd., 323-739-0870.

2. Beginning at 2:30 p.m., the  boys soccer team will play Wilson High School. Go Eagles! 1750 Yosemite Dr., 323-340-3500.

3. If you still haven't experienced the Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock's latest exhibit, "Get Up! Stand Up for Human Rights!" you should head over today while the show is still running. It will wind up Feb. 5. Check out our video of the exhibit. 2225 Colorado Blvd., 323-226-1617.

4. Watch out, the Mac n' Roll Truck is pulling in! Eagle Rock Brewery is hosting this truck, which boasts, among other cheesy treats, "deep-fried mac 'n' cheese spring rolls served with creamy marinara or avocado ranch dipping sauce.” The chow down starts at 6 p.m. As usual, the brewery tap room will also be open. 3056 Roswell St., 323-257-7866.

5. Heartbeat House is right around the corner in Atwater Village, and this dance studio is totally worth the drive. At 7:30 p.m. tonight, Fransini will take your body to Brazil via samba. The samba class welcomes all levels and is always invigorating.
