Feel Like Some Pie?

Head out to Figueroa Produce Tuesday evening!

Yesterday, after what felt like a week of summer in Eagle Rock, it felt like fall again. Do you know what that meant to me? Pie! I woke up needing a pie and a sweater to sustain me.

Luckily, my friend Mollie is the owner of Cutie Pies. She is a local Eagle Rocker and pie is her specialty. For desserts such as good ol’ apple pie, ginger pear pie, even peanut butter pie, she is the go-to girl. But, on a cloudy day such as Monday, I needed one of her savory pies—maybe a shepherd’s pie, a tamale or a pot pie.

Even luckier for me (and you if you’re hungry), Mollie will be at Figueroa Produce Market Tuesday night, May 10, letting folks sample her latest quiches. Her quiches will be available to buy in their freezer section.

Even if you’re not in the mood for quiche, stop by  Figueroa Produce Market at 6312 N. Figueroa St. for Food Truck, which happens every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
The food trucks roll in, offering all kinds of wonderful treats. There are food samples on offer inside and you can get a little grocery shopping done if you need to.

Figueroa Produce is such a great neighborhood market. It has a fabulous butcher who offers grass-fed beef and a huge selection of vegan foods. There's something for everyone. Yes, I know it is officially in Highland Park, but it’s close enough that we can claim it for Eagle Rock.
