Why Go: Try five new wines along with accompanying artisanal cheeses from Marketplace.

Pricing: $15 per person.


Where/When: Descanso Gardens, Saturday, 1 p.m.

Why Go: Tour the gorgeous camellia gardens and learn about the flowers from resident horticulturist Wayne Walker—all as part of a day-long Camellia Festival.


Where/When: Jose Vera Fine Arts & Antiques, Saturday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy an evening of art, music and refreshments, while donating to a good cause.

Pricing: $20 suggested donation to All Hands Volunteers.


Where/When: All Star Lanes, Sunday, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Why Go: An afternoon of music featuring Fast Otto, Sammy Ruiz (acoustic set) and more, plus an exhibit by street artist Michael Talamantez. Full bar and restaurant, plus bowling open before and after the show.

Pricing: Cover: $3.


Where/When: Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock, Sunday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Open Gate Theatre presents this evening of music as part of their ongoing series, including a performance by woodwind musician Phillip Greenlief.

Pricing: General Admission: $10; Students, Seniors, Series Performers: $5.
