New ERNC Dog Park Committee Meeting Thursday

Different locations around the neighborhood are being considered as potential locations.

The first meeting of the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Dog Park Committee is set to take place Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Eagle Rock City Hall.

The members are ERNC President Michael Nogueira, Sub-District 5 Director Matt Harrington, Business Director Liam Roth and Youth Director Caroline Roncalli. All members of the community interested in talking about bringing a dog park to Eagle Rock are encouraged to attend.

Different locations around Eagle Rock are being considered as potential locations.

"There are a number of open options about where we could put this thing. I want to get the community involved and talk about it," Harrington said at Tuesday's board meeting of the ERNC.

Harrington previously has proposed the unused area behind the swimming pool at the Yosemite Recreation Center, next to Eagle Rock High School, as a location for a dog park.

"If you go past there any day of the week, there is tagging and the back of the swimming pool," Harrington said. "You come back the next day, it's clean. The day after that, tagging again. I mean, that would be a great double whammy to clear up that area."
