Department of Transportation crews have been busy lately replacing old parking meters with new high-tech ones on Eagle Rock thoroughfares. The new meters are solar-powered, accept credit cards as well as coins, and don't malfunction as often, resulting in higher parking revenues to the city. Many motorists using the new apparatuses are pleased—but others clearly prefer the simpler, older meters. A lot of folks have been trying to figure out how to use the new meters, which are being installed in intensely-trafficked areas across the city.
