What Would You Improve in Palos Verdes in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Palos Verdes, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here on the Palos Verdes Peninsula to make it an even better place to live?

Should the Rancho Palos Verdes City Council allow mountain bikers more access to trails in the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve? Or should Rolling Hills Estates residents pass the ballot measure clarifying its view protection ordinance? What about fixing the problematic intersection in front of the police station in Palos Verdes Estates, or finishing up the new bike path planned for Palos Verdes Drive North?

What is on your Palos Verdes wish list? What is one thing you would improve in 2013? Tell us in the comment section below or blog about why you love living here!

Residents of the Palos Verdes cities should withdraw their money from the too-big-to-fail, dangerous-to-our-nations-financial-health Wall Street megabanks Citibank, Chase Bank, Bank of America and Wells Fargo and use instead credit unions or smaller, more local banks for their banking business. Our cities should follow the example of cities such as Berkeley and not do business with these fraudulent entities either.

Stop the over buidling!!! NO bike lane on PV Dr N. Agree with Dolores, the Chase bank is an eye sore on Hawthorne and Crest. A pitty seeing this piece of plot disappear.... There are 3 Chase banks within 2 miles now. In fact too many banks on this hill Too many people live here now and most are foreigners and/or don't appreciate "urban" life.... Stop taking away Horse property, ban poisoning of rodents - which are killing other wild life, ..Stop chopping down trees. No bikes in nature preserve. Need to have more land conservancy. Need new city council people - period. Need to bring back Jolly Roger restaurant.... I could go on and on and on....

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes should remove all commercial bus benches on Western Avenue and replace the with city owned benches. Also install nice looking green metal trash recepticals on Western Avenue and get rid of those ugly barrels. Bob

Build more "pocket" dog parks like the one Rancho Palos Verdes built next to City Hall. Every time I have gone there there has been 5 to 15 dogs and their owners having a great time !
