The idea for this Day of the Dead event was inspired by the Mexican holiday "Dia de los Muertos"- a day to remember friends and family members who have passed before us. This event is a modern spin off the traditional ceremony, meant to infuse the new beat scene and all of it's music, art and culture with a long-standing cultural tradition.
Paying respect to LA's cultural heritage and looking towards the future, we offer this night as an homage to all musicians who have passed on, and who so deeply inspired this new generation of beat-makers, producers, and music enthusiasts.
DJs and beat-makers will mix their own new music with that of those who passed and who influenced them most. Photo booth & calavera face painting will also be available inside!
