"If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" -- new works by Walt Hall

Cactus Gallery presents:
"If Only Tonight We Could Sleep"
New paintings about mixed media works by Walt Hall
For a digital preview: http://www.cactusgallery.blogspot.com

For "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep," Walt continues his study of melancholic forest-scapes created on discarded wood, foreign newsprint, old fashioned wallpaper and iconic
advertising elements.

Hall's work shows the viewer small scenes of life and death, love and loss, happiness and sadness. This body of work is connected by a narrative thread based on an equation of emotion leading to reconciliation and balance.

ABOUT WALT HALL

Walt Hall was born and raised in Northeast Los Angeles. Although an active artist from a very young age, he cut his creative teeth in the world of commercial art restoration rather than the traditional art school. Until 2000 his main focus was music and a series of local punk bands that he formed with friends. Since that time he has returned his creative focus to the visual arts.
