Santa Cecilia Orchestra Soloists

Each year the Santa Cecilia Orchestra features its own orchestra musicians as soloists. Conductor Sonia Marie De León de Vega, the string section of the orchestra and SCO soloists explore time (Baroque) and place (Argentina) in a chain of gem-like pieces for string orchestra.

Fresh off its sold out performance of Natasha Marin and SCO Friends, a concert featuring music for solo piano as well as duets, ending with the dazzling Mendelssohn trio, Santa Cecilia Orchestra (SCO) announces that it will host Santa Cecilia Orchestra Soloists, its next concert of the 2010-2011 season.   The concert will take place at Occidental College’s Thorne Hall on Sunday February 13, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
