Another Day, Another Fender-Bender on Colorado

Two vehicles headed east near College View Avenue collide against each other.

A Toyota pickup truck and a Nissan sedan headed east on Colorado Boulevard Wednesday collided against each other in front of the Colorado Terrace retirement home while one of the vehicles was changing lanes.

Nobody was injured in the accident, which occurred at around 11:30 a.m. between College View Avenue and Ellenwood Drive, but there was substantial damage to the front left-hand side of the Nissan Sentra sedan.

Two men were driving the vehicles. The younger of them told Eagle Rock Patch that "a lot of things happened," leading to the collision, and that one of the issues revolved around one of the vehicles being in the others blind spot. He did not give any further details.

The accident occurred a day after another sedan headed west on Colorado crashed onto a sidewalk and collided against a tree across from Dahlia Heights Elementary School.

Tuesday's accident, in turn, occurred a day after a major community meeting at the Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock, on the Los Angeles Department of Transportation's plans to introduce ways to decrease vehicular speeds on Colorado as well as introduce a bike lane in each direction of the six-lane thoroughfare.
