Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program.
We’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows about vegan restaurants to nominate the best ones on the Eastside.
We know folks are mobile in trying to make the most of their neighborhoods. So we decided to team up so our pick truly represents where you live and may also travel.
Pick from among the neighborhoods covered by the Echo Park-Silver Lake, Eagle Rock and Highland Park-Mount Washington Patches: Echo Park, Silver Lake, Atwater, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Cypress Park, Glassell Park, Highland Park or Mount Washington
We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.
To nominate a vegan restaurant, just mention it in the comments below.
If you already see your nominee there, second it with a comment of your own.
Thanks in advance for your participation.

@Mindy I think some people may have misunderstood the article. True, Mohawk Bend is not vegan. However, their vegetarian and vegan options far outweigh their non vegan options which is the opposite of what you can expect at most restaurants. Getting every person in the world to stop eating meat will simply never ever happen. Getting people to each much LESS meat is a more obtainable goal - one that would still have a great impact on our environment. Here's my point... yes Mohawk Bend should not be considered for the best vegan restaurant but they shouldn't be considered a "animal slaughterhouse outlet" either. That's childish and purposely misleading. Do you actually want to consider going vegan? Because comments like that only alienate. People read that, roll their eyes and say "typical vegan." I'm not a huge fan of Mohawk Bend but in a time when meat centric gastropubs abound, they took a risk by rolling out the menu that they did. Animal Slaughterhouse Outlet. Good grief.
The subject of this poll is favorite VEGAN restaurants, not favorite sides at the steakhouse.
