, L.A.s' premiere vegan/vegetarian restaurant, which closed temporarily on Dec. 31, 2010 while its owners embarked on a “creative hiatus,” is reopening again—as early as Thursday, September 15.
Noted artist and Fatty’s co-owner Kim Dingle announced Sunday that Chef Aude Charles has designed a new menu inspired primarily by the cuisines of Provence and Tuscany.
The food, which Dingle described as “Vegan with Vegetarian options,” (cheese-lovers, take note) will be paired with the exquisite boutique wines for which Fatty’s has been known.
The restaurant’s staff has also created a new beer menu based on family-owned artisan breweries from Belgium, Germany and California.
The reopening comes almost exactly a month after Chicago restauranter and Glendale wine purveyor Charlie Puffer started a weekend pop-up restaurant, Charlie Puffer at Fatty's, at the restaurant in a re-designed space.
Fatty’s will be open Thursdays through Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
