Photos: Wine Tasting at The Capri
The Thiel twins turn the Capri's usually closed Tuesday into a night of wine and appetizers.

The Capri Italian Restaurant on 4604 Eagle Rock Blvd. is usually closed on Tuesdays—but it wasn't last night. Instead of pulling the shutters, co-owing twins Jeff and Jim Thiel held a wine-tasting event. About 30 people showed up, around 80 percent from Eagle Rock, according to Jeff (wearing the light-green shirt in the photos).
The Twins served 12 (mostly red) wines from California's Central Coast and Italy, along with appetizers. Wine connoisseur Steve Thompson, a representative from Maddalena Vineyard in Paso Robles, was on hand to get his brain picked. The cost? Just $15. Was it a drink-all-you-want night? "Somethin' like that," replied Jeff with a short laugh.
