It could be safer to open drapes and windows and emerge from your air-conditioned cocoon this week (if the humidity allows). According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday promises to be about 90 degrees—still hot, but a touch cooler than the past couple of days.
The news improves as the week moves on. A growing onshore flow of cool wind will lower temperatures in the Los Angeles area, possibly introducing breezy north winds Thursday night through Friday. Look for temperatures ranging in the middle-to-upper 70s through Friday.
Although Friday is expected to be slightly warmer, cooler weather is likely to prevail through the weekend and beyond (do you hear the sigh of relief from the organizers of Saturday’s Eagle Rock Music Festival?) Tuesday could be the coolest day of all, with a high of just 72 degrees.
