CHP Lunch Break While Parked in Red Zone

Where's Parking Enforcement—or is CHP exempt from the law?

At around 12 noon Wednesday, while Parking Enforcement officials were busy giving tickets to vehicles parked on street cleaning day on some of the Colorado Boulevard side streets facing Eagle Rock City Hall, a sparkling-white California Highway Patrol car was parked conspicuously in the red-striped area across from Taco Spot.

Inside, five CHP officers were enjoying a sumptuous lunch, evidently off duty and dead certain they would neither get a ticket nor be reprimanded for not setting the right example.
