Two Daytime Home Burglaries Reported in Eagle Rock Wednesday

According to Senior Lead Officer Nina Preciado, the burglaries were committed in broad daylight during early morning hours.

The Los Angeles Police Department's new Senior Lead Officer for Eagle Rock, Nina Preciado, sent out an alert to residents on Wednesday reminding them to be cognizant of home burglaries.

According Preciado, there were two home burglaries reported on La Roda and Norwalk Avenues on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

"They have occurred during the daytime or early evening hours," Preciado states in the alert. "The suspect(s) usually enter through a rear window or door when no one is home."

According to Crimemapping.com, there have been nine Eagle Rock burglaries reported to LAPD's Northeast Division since the start of the new year.

Preciado offered the follow tips to residents to avoid burglaries.

  •  Please lock all doors and windows when leaving your residence.
  •  Invest in a home security alarm system, dog or even increased lighting around your home.
