This is my first post on Eagle Rock Patch! I'm looking forward to sharing my perspective of our great town with the Patch community.
I am an Eagle Rock native, having spent the first 25 years of my life on the same street right next to . My family first came to Eagle Rock when my grandfather attended Oxy as a student in the early 1900s, and the ties remain strong! Walking around Eagle Rock is like a constant blast from the past for me. Sometimes I see things that haven't changed since my childhood. Other times the changes are dramatic, so my recollections become a way for me to document the past and share it with others.
Photography has been part of my life since childhood. I have taken thousands of photos over my life, so when I heard about the City Daily Photo network and noticed that Eagle Rock was not represented, I took the plunge. Every day I post a new photograph on my blog, which is seen by bloggers around the world via the City Daily Photo Portal.
This first post is a collection of nature scenes from the past few months. One of the things I love about Eagle Rock is that even though we are surrounded by city landscape, we have such beautiful natural spots within our borders.
