Eagel Rock HS community / parents meeting thur 24th 7pm get the word out

I'm putting together a community meeting /

with parents from Eagle Rock High School this coming Thursday evening at 7PM at

Saint Bernard's Church Auditorium in Glassell Park. The Principle Mr. Salvador Velasco will be there to answer parents and media

questions and I was hopping you would report on this issue. Mr. Salvador Velasco has been removed and place on paid

administration leave almost 2 months ago.



I as well as

other parents met with LAUSD Board Member Bennett Kayser 3 weeks ago to ask him why he was removed because even Mr.

Velasco hasn't been told nor notified as to why he

was removed as principle. We wanted to

put pressure on the LAUSD Superintendent John Deasy to answer to parents why he

pulled Principle Mr. Salvador Velasco out of the school.

After 8 years of great service and grade point averages higher then in most magnet

schools.



While the parents

of Eagle Rock want to keep the man that has brought the greatest success to

Eagle Rock HS in 50 years from academics to sports CIF championships.



Would you please

consider attending or sending a staff member to attend this meeting. There will

be a media table with the media being able to ask Principle Mr. Salvador

Velasco the first questions after his opening statements we will allow as much

time as needed to the media questions as they need. We are also hoping that the

LAUSD Superintendent John Deasy will be there to answer questions as

well.
