Glendale Galleria Hosts Dress Drive for Teens with Kidney Disease
Beginning January 7, Glendale Galleria will be hosting a Dress Drive benefiting teens with chronic kidney disease. The Galleria is asking shoppers to donate gently worn prom dresses, jewelry, accessories or shoes for teenage girls who are undergoing lifesaving dialysis to wear to the Renal Teen Prom held on January 19.
Sponsored by Renal Support Network (RSN), the prom is designed for teens that were unable to attend their own prom because of their medical issues relating to chronic kidney disease. Prom dresses and accessories can be dropped off at Concierge Services located on the First Level near McDonald’s at the Glendale Galleria during mall hours. For more information, visit http://www.glendalegalleria.com/.
The Renal Teen Prom is the inspiration of Lori Hartwell, RSN's President and Founder, who missed her own prom because she spent all her teenage years on dialysis. RSN is a non-profit, patient-focused, patient-run organization that provides non-medical services to those affected by chronic kidney disease.
