Northeast L.A. Brewery Celebrates a Year of Intense Growth [VIDEO, PHOTOS]

Fast becoming a brand name in craft beer, Golden Road Brewery attracts hundreds of beer lovers on its first birthday bash.

Golden Road Brewing, a Northeast LA brewery whose “Point the Way” IPA was served at the 2012 Eagle Rock Music Festival kickoff party last month, is reportedly the biggest craft brewery in Los Angeles County. Just a year old, it is also the fastest-growing start-up in craft beer history, according to the Los Angeles Times, with more than 1,900 draft and retail accounts in the county.

On Sept. 22, Golden Road celebrated the first anniversary of its opening at its headquarters on the outskirts of Atwater Village on San Fernando Road, where it also has a pub and restaurant. Hundreds of beer aficionados paid $40 each for a tour of the brewery—and an opportunity to drink as much beer as they fancied.

Titled Better Weather Fest, the celebration coincided with LA Beer Week, a 10-day event that ends today, Sunday.
