Founders Guild Membership Reception & Awards Luncheon

Friends, fun and meaningful work!

WHAT: The Glendale Adventist Medical Center (GAMC) Founders Guild will be hosting a membership reception and awards luncheon on Wednesday, June 4 at the Chevy Chase Country Club.  Lifetime members will be honored and potential new members will attend. The Founders Guild is the longest-standing Guild at the hospital. This group of dedicated volunteers raises funds through a variety of activities and events to support GAMC.

WHY:

Thanks to recent efforts, The Founders Guild raised enoughmoney to buy new gym equipment for the GAMC Play to Learn Center.  The check will be presented to the GAMC Play to Learn Center at this luncheon.

The Play to Learn Center offers a range of services for children with special needs, such as delayed speech or walking, sensory deficits, cerebral palsy, stroke, autism, genetic syndromes, and many other diagnoses. The center helps these children realize their highest level of communication thereby increasing their social, emotional and academic skills; develop skills to play andinteract at an age appropriate level; become more independent through improved movement, communication, feeding and social interaction; and with the help of their families, deal with the complex issues they face. To help our young patients reach these goals the Play to Learn Center offers individual therapy and developmental play groups for a variety of ages as well as a sensory integration program; high-risk infant follow-up; patient and family education; infant massages; school assessments and day camp programs.

Grateful family, John and Jennifer Farley will share their inspirational story and their connection to the Play to Learn Center.  John is an actor and comedian.  Jennifer is an actress and writer.
