110 Freeway Accident, Commuter Nightmare in Rain

A morning rush hour accident sent a woman to the hospital and tied up traffic for miles on the Arroyo Seco Parkway.

A Toyota Tundra pickup truck with a woman at the wheel overturned in rainy weather early Friday on the southbound 110 freeway, and the driver was rushed to the Huntington Hospital after being treated for minor injuries.

South Pasadena paramedics and firefighters arrived on the scene of the overturned vehicle around 7:45 a.m. They treated the woman, who was already removed from her car.

"Anytime it rains for the first time, roads get really slick," said South Pasadena Captain Danny DeAngelis.
