Interesting that you rarely see marijuana related crimes, while burglaries and car thefts are the most common crimes. Gun crimes are often domestic disputes. The craziest crimes can be traced to crystal meth abuse. Banks and grocery stores are robbed four times as often as medical marijuana clinics, according to these LAPD statistics. Just a reminder, alcohol and tobacco are 100 times more toxic than marijuana. 50,000 people die each year from alcohol poisoning and 400,000 people die each year from tobacco-related illnesses. You would have to smoke 1000 pounds of marijuana in 15 minutes to achieve the toxicity of one bottle of vodka in the same time frame. Please support the complete legalization of marijuana, and stop prosecuting medical marijuana dispensaries. All we ask is a level playing field, and public acknowledgement that marijuana should be no more regulated than alcohol or tobacco.

Thanks for all the interesting info, John. Hope nobody takes your toxicity test, though. :)

You are absolutely correct, we need to focus our limited resources on actual crime. It is very sad that patients are still discriminated against for trying to live healthy and productive lives.
