In addition to the above crimes, Eagle Rock Senior Lead Officer Nina Preciado has sent an e-mail blast to residents regarding six reported burglaries from July 7 through July 13, including some on the outskirts of Eagle Rock.

The burglaries were reported from the following blocks (some locations are repeated from the above list): 2300 Merton Ave., 4600 Eagle Rock Blvd., 4100 Verdugo Rd., 4000 Somers Ave. (two incidents); 4400 Palmero Dr.

Four of the burglaries occurred during the evening and two during early daytime hours, Preciado said, adding that the points of entry were front and rear doors as well as rear and side windows.

"Please report any and all suspicious activity to the police department," Preciado urges Eagle Rockers. "Invest in a home security system. Your home is one of your biggest investments. You want to do everything possible to protect your home and the property inside. Don't give these knucklheads an opportunity to take what you work so hard to purchase for you and your family."
