Hit-and-Run Reportedly Occurs Off Eagle Rock Boulevard

A speeding car slams into a Honda packed with adults and children, according to officials.

A hit-and-run occurred Monday evening near a Glassell Park crossing located two blocks south of the spot on Eagle Rock Boulevard where the bodies of two men were found Saturday following a drive-by shooting in Cypress Park, according to officials.

A Honda sedan packed with adults and children was reportedly hit on the right side by a car speeding east on Avenue 36 (an extension of Fletcher Drive) toward Eagle Rock Boulevard. Nobody in the Honda was injured, according to Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters from Station 50, located less than a minute's drive away on Fletcher Drive. But the passengers appeared distraught when Eagle Rock Patch arrived at the scene.

The accident occurred around 5:45 p.m., seconds after the Honda turned off Eagle Rock Boulevard onto Avenue 36 and was trying to turn left onto Bushwick Street, which runs parallel to the Glendale 2 freeway.
