Photos: Firemen Knock Down Blaze in Yosemite Drive Duplex

Dozens of firefighters from four Los Angeles Fire Department Battalion 2 stations, including Station 55 on York Boulevard, knocked down a fire that erupted in a duplex residence located on Yosemite Drive directly opposite Rockdale Elementary School Tuesday afternoon.

Two fire trucks, three engines and two rescue ambulances responded to a call about the fire at 2:47 p.m., Battalion Chief David Frelinger told Eagle Rock Patch. Nobody was injured in the fire.

After firemen had pretty much knocked down flames on the street level of the duplex, the fire spread to a crawl space below the structure, adding to the time spent battling the blaze, Frelinger said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
