There was no crime surrounding the incident Saturday on Eagle Rock Boulevard.

LAPD officers responded to call revolving around a family dispute in Eagle Rock around noon on Saturday and placed one person the police described as mentally ill on a 72-hour hold.

An LAPD “smart team” consisting of a police officer and a psychologist was dispatched to the 5100 block of Eagle Rock Boulevard, between Colorado Boulevard and Hill Drive, where “one family member has a mental illness,” Sgt. Sanford Rosenberg, the watch commander at the Northeast Community Police Station, told Patch.

The dispute, between two family members, is an “ongoing problem” but there’s “no crime involved” and the area is safe, Rosenberg added.
