Rape on Vincent Avenue Called an 'Isolated' Case of Domestic Violence

Northeast Division Sex Crimes Unit is talking to the D.A. about future course of action.

An incident of rape that we reported about in our latest round-up of crime in Eagle Rock was an isolated case revolving around domestic violence, and residents should not be unduly concerned or worried about it, according to a detective in the Sex Crimes Unit of the LAPD Northeast Community Station.

The rape, which occurred on the 4900 block of Vincent Avenue on the night of March 29, is still under investigation. “We haven’t come to a conclusion yet,” the detective, who identified herself only by last name, Tague, told Eagle Rock Patch Wednesday.

“There is no cause for concern,” the detective said, adding: “We are in the middle of talking to the D.A. about it.”
