710 Freeway Extension: How to Offer Your Alternatives
A rough timeline and explanation of Metro 710 community meetings and open houses.
Metro is making an open call to all who are interested in the future of the SR-710 freeway's proposed extension via a tunnel not far from Eagle Rock. Curious about traffic—much of it in the form of big-haul trucks from the Long Beach harbor—and mobility in the region? You are encouraged to join a SR-710 Study Community Liaison Council (CLC), we previously reported.
Whether you are on a CLC, contemplating being on a CLC or would like to know more about Metro 710 options, you may want to check out a Metro timeline of the public meeting and feedback process for 710 alternatives (attached to this article).
CLC meetings began this month. Suggested alternatives and open houses are scheduled in May, followed by more focused CLC meetings and workshops in the summer. A final set of alternatives will be presented in late summer and early fall.
