• The ERNC board will discuss and possibly act upon President Michael Nogueira’s presentation about a $900 Community Improvement Project funding proposal for a rhythm and blues, funk and disco band called Funkomatics during the July 28 Concerts in the Park series that kicked off this past Sunday.

• The ERNC board will discuss and possibly agree to write a letter of support for a conditional use permit that Four Café is seeking from the Los Angeles Planning Department to sell beer and wine at the Colorado Boulevard restaurant. The letter is contingent on proof that the owners of Four Café conducted the necessary public outreach within a 500-foot radius of their business. • Secretary Michael Blanchard will propose to the board that the ERNC begin planning for its 2014 elections by forming an Elections Committee.

• The ERNC board will discuss and possibly vote on the design of an Eagle Rock banner that is proposed to be installed on lightpoles across the neighborhood in an effort to instill civic pride among residents. Vice President David Greene, Director Sub-District 2 Kerry Tribe and Director Sub-District 4 Michelle Frier will give a presentation about the banner design.

• Treasurer Ashley Atkinson and Secretary Michael Blanchard will give a presentation about funding and coordinating a proposed Bike Week in Eagle Rock devoted to safety classes and related issues.

• The ERNC board will discuss and possibly vote on a proposal to write a letter to the Los Angeles Police Department to better enforce traffic laws on Colorado Boulevard, where speeding is not uncommon. Communications Director Baker Montgomery will give a presentation about the latest developments regarding this issue, which was raised in the ERNC’s most recent meeting in June.
