Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council to Appoint 3 New Members Tuesday Night

The council will also be voting on funding for the Eagle Rock Music Festival, discussing a proposed gated community at the top of Mt. Royal Drive and holding a vote on supporting SB405, the statewide single-use bag ban

The Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council had three resignations recently and will be looking to fill the vacant seats at Tuesday night's regular council meeting.

There are currently six candidates vying for the open seats, and the meeting will feature short statements from each candidate, who will also answer questions from the council before the council's public appointment vote.

According to the council's website, this is possibly the first time multiple candidates are vying for a single seat.

"To us, that’s an acknowledgment that the ERNC has been using its influence and resources well, and that people want to be part of our campaign to improve Eagle Rock, and to increase the responsiveness of City government to stakeholders’ needs and concerns," the council posted on its website.

The council will also be voting on funding for the Eagle Rock Music Festival, discussing a proposed gated community at the top of Mt. Royal Drive and holding a vote on supporting SB405, the statewide single-use bag ban, according to the council's agenda.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Eagle Rock City Hall, 2035 Colorado Blvd.
