‘Get Out the Vote Call Party’ on Eagle Rock Boulevard Saturday

To help re-elect President Obama, MoveOn.org is calling on people to get together at 12 noon on Eagle Rock Boulevard and Avenue 40.

MoveOn.org, the public policy advocacy group and political action committee that organizes people to fight Congressional battles and help elect candidates who reflect the organization’s progressive values, is hosting a campaign gathering Saturday, ahead of the Nov. 6 presidential election.

The event, part of a nationwide campaign drive to help re-elect President Barack Obama, is scheduled to be held at the intersection of Eagle Rock Boulevard and Avenue 40 at 12 noon on Nov. 3, according to the MoveOn.org website.

The meeting point is located just across Eagle Rock's border with Glassell Park, about two blocks south of the Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, near the U.S. Post Office. (See attached map.)

The homosexual support by politicians is an example of why Christians shouldn't be involved in politics. In 2 Cor.6:14-18 the Apostle Paul said: "Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can goodness be a partner with wickedness?...Therefore...separate yourselves from them...And I will be your father...says the Lord Almighty." Another powerful reason is that politics divides people (1 Cor. 1:10-13) and has been the cause of horrible wars where "Christians" have slaughtered one another, such as the Civil War, now being featured at the Huntington Library in L.A. CA. We Christians also understand that the one causing all the world's trouble is Satan, and ONLY Jesus can get rid of him, so voting for these would be, messianic, political saviors would be futile and disloyal to our Lord and savior. The government Christians should be praying and campaigning for is not one filled with a bunch of corrupt human politicians, but rather as Jesus said: "Our Father in heaven,... let your Kingdom come"
