How Long Do Eagle Rock Fire Stations Take to Respond to Emergencies?

Well below the national standard, according to a map created by mayoral candidate Austin Beutner.

Mayoral candidate Austin Beutner has created an interactive map that shows how long it takes various Los Angeles Fire Department stations to respond to emergencies throughout the city.

According to Beutner’s map, which you can check out above, on Colorado Boulevard responds under five minutes 65 percent of the time. Fire Station 55 on York Boulevard responds 63 percent of the time under five minutes. The national standard for response times is under five minutes 90 percent of the time.

Beutner, who once worked for Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, has been one of the most vocal critics of the LAFD lately, following dramatic revelations that the department had incorrectly stated its response times to the point of allegedly lying about them.
