POLL: How Will a Ban on Marijuana Storefronts Affect You?

The ban on medical marijuana storefronts approved by the Los Angeles City Council could have far-reaching consequences for patients as well as recreational users of pot. Take our poll and tell us how a ban would affect you.

The Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to ban medical marijuana storefronts, while maintaining the right of medical marijuana patients to grow pot individually or in groups of three persons or less.

Earlier this month, the state appeals court under California law and rejected bans imposed by municipalities, so it is still unclear if Los Angeles has the power to implement this ban. Some pot shop owners interviewed by Patch said they didn't think the ban would actually impact them.
