Meet Your Northeast Congressman, State Senator, Assemblyman and Councilman Today

All the four elected representatives will be available at the Center for the Arts to talk about their respective levels of government and the services they offer.

It’s not every day that Eagle Rockers get the opportunity to meet their elected representatives—and the chance to interact with as many as four of them simultaneously in the heart of Eagle Rock is rarer still.

From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today, Saturday, April 6, Congressman Xavier Becerra, State Senator Kevin De Leon, 51st District Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez and Councilman José Huizar will meet with constituents at the , located at 2225 Colorado Blvd.

The four leaders will talk about the roles of their respective levels of government and how they work, besides offering important information about government services.

Eagle Rock residents and stakeholders are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this relatively rare “meet and greet” opportunity and get to know both their elected representatives and the work they do.

As Council District 14 Field Deputy Nate Hayward, who is responsible for Eagle Rock affairs in Huizar’s office, put it: “An event like this hasn't happened in a long time.”
