Northeast Los Angeles celebrated Veterans’ Day Sunday with a solemn ceremony at Eagle Rock City Hall, followed two hours later by a parade that began at 1 p.m. from Fire Station 55 on York Boulevard and ended a short distance east of Figueroa Street.
It was Northeast L.A.’s seventh Veterans’ Day parade. The parade’s grand marshal was Daniel L. Van Dyke, a veteran of the wars in Korea and Vietnam who grew up in Eagle Rock and manages a family business in Highland Park. The office of City Council member José Huizar organized the parade.

Also Patt Morrison has an ER connection she lived in ER while attending Oxy. She is a prominent Oxy alumnus. Being a Vietnam Era vet I would also on a personal note like to remember some ERHS classmates that gave their lives in Vietnam most notably George Myrick and Richard Karger, RIP!
