A new smartphone app launched Monday instantly connects users to Los Angeles City Hall, literally putting "the power of City Hall in the palm of your hand,'' in the words of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

With the new app, you can:

  • Submit a service request for graffiti removal, pothole repair, and bulky-item pickup.
  • Map the nearest park, library, fire and police stations, golf courses, public pools, tennis courts, golf courses, parking lots—and more.
  • Keep up to date with the latest City Hall news by browsing through the Facebook, Twitter and YouTube feeds.
  • Pay your Los Angeles Water and Power bill right from your mobile device.

The MyLA311 app was unveiled Monday by Villaraigosa, Councilman Joe Buscaino and the co-founder of Hub LA, Elizabeth Stewart.

"Angelenos now have a direct mobile portal to vital services and key city information,'' Villaraigosa said. "This will spur a more open and transparent government.''
