VIDEOS: City Hall Celebrates Eagle Rock Day

Rejoice—March 4 marks the official launch of Eagle Rock Day!

A century ago this month, Eagle Rock became a city on March 1—for 12 years until it chose to become part of  the City of Los Angeles on May 18, 1923. Yesterday in City Hall, scores of Eagle Rockers, including some 120 schoolchildren, celebrated the official launch of Eagle Rock Day.

The event was conceived and organized by , who lives in Boyle Heights but has a longstanding relationship with the community. And watch our two videos—one shot in the chambers of City Hall and the other on the 27th floor of the building, where the Latin Jazz Band wowed everyone present with their hypnotic music.
