Zoo Admission Fees, Parking Fines Hiked

The City Council has approved a $1 increase in admission fees to the L.A. Zoo and first offense parking fines by $5.

The Los Angeles City Council has voted to increase parking fines by $5 and late fees by $10—a move that is expected to generate $8.4 million for the City's general fund, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Current fines of $53, which include parking on the left side of a roadway and parking in a hazardous area, will increase to $58.

Fines of $58, such as parking more than 18 inches from the curb and parking near an emergency vehicle, will go up to $63.
