Eagle Rock Elementary Student is 'Mean Green String Beans' Goalkeeper
The AYSO Region 88 U12 soccer champs have lost only one game this season and are set to take on Pasadena.
Veronica Tossberg, a sixth-grader at Eagle Rock Elementary School & Magnet Center, will join her "Mean Green String Beans" teammates this weekend in a soccer match against Pasadena.
Fresh from a Dec. 8 AYSO Region 88 U12 championship victory, the Glendale-area girls are eager for another triumph, having lost only one game all season.
The champions are coached by John Kang and assistant coach Andrew Ellson. The team sponsor is Dr. Steven Hartford.

"We want to wish the girls good luck," said local mom Sarah Ortiz, who contacted Patch about the Mean Green String Beans and sent these photos.
