The largest class in ERHS history has a graduation rate of 93 percent.

As many as 4,000 parents, teachers, students, friends, and family members turned out to witness the 2011 graduating class of —the largest class in the school's history—on Wednesday at the Remsen Theatre in .

Called the 2011 "Vincinians," or "Conquerors," the seniors stood out for their graduation rate of 93 percent—an astonishing achievement, given that last year 364 students graduated ERHS with a graduation rate of 73 percent.

Student speakers welcomed the gathering in five different languages, and many of the speeches were given in Spanish and English. There were many tense moments for the students as they waited to walk toward the center of the stage to receive their diplomas. But once they got going, emotions broke loose. Besides spontaneous dancing, at least one senior jumped into the arms of an unsuspecting teacher and no less than three performed a salto.

Tim—I have to wonder what your ERHS predecessors got up to in the Seventies.

Cap and gown are nice, however nothing will ever compare to the days of White Dresses and White Tuxes. This is one of the things that made ERHS stand out from the rest in the LA Unified school district. Sorry to see it is no more. DMcNeal class of '77

I am so upset that we didn't get to wear cap n gown in 1982!! I hated that white dress. I was graduating, not going to a catillion!! Lol! Wondering why gown is blue instead of green. Congratulations class of 2011!

I was there and it was ohhh such fun-especially on those hot concrete seats! Yeah...coincidently, that's my daughter photographed-with the long blondish brown hair. I am so proud of her! From prom to graduation and all the in between-I'm exhausted, broke and could use a cocktail!
