Laughter has long been the best medicine. And even though the LAUSD's financial woes are hardly a laughing matter, laughter certainly helps cope with all the pressure.
At any rate, laughter was the theme of "A Night of Comedy," the late Friday at the Los Angeles River Center on Avenue 26, just off the 110 freeway.
And as you can see from this photo, LAUSD Board Member Bennett Kayser and his wife Peggy both appear to be firm believers in laughter therapy.
