I believe food is intensely personal. What we eat says a lot about how we feel about ourselves and our lives.

When I cook, I dig deeply into my creative unconscious in order to find inspiration in the ingredients. I feel most connected to food by the seasons of the year which dictates when foods are harvested. I use each month as a guide to my menu creations. 

This is why I believe in a community that supports and empowers local and sustainable food practices. So many food products are contaminated by poor growing and handling procedures. With GMO's on the rise, it's important to know where our food comes from and to respect it.

My cooking style can best be describes as California Cuisine infused with the techniques and exotic ingredients from French, Italian and Mediterranean cultures.

I am grateful to live in Eagle Rock with its easy access to fresh, seasonal, and organic produce. 

And I am very excited to have this opportunity to blog about it!
