Scott Smith, Neighbor

I've been a social reform activist all my adult life on a range of issues from abolishing the electoral college to animal welfare. I'm a political moderate, but a firm Democrat--I was going to work for Senator Harry Reid at one time and had a conversation about reforming the party with Bill Clinton just before he ran for president. My pet peeve is people who use back room influence to achieve their goals that won't survive public debate or twist the facts in discussing issues. 

Beyond that, I have a girlfriend who is a brilliant artist, I belong to the Gnostic Church in Atwater Village, and I write primarily about historical figures as models of the traits needed to succeed.
